From Theresa: This is an “end of summer/fall” song that was tucked away and brought back out to see the light of day…LOL. I’ve read that in some cultures “Vermillion” is regarded as the colour of life and eternity, and I like this detail very much, when writing about the passage of time and memory. I’ve always felt that the rituals we hold around “time” are poignant, sometimes bringing tender meaning to our lives…like clothes we hang on the line, sending them out and then pulling them in, over and over again through the years. To begin again.
